Midwife / Nurse for Hourly Contract at Stockholm Clinic for Sexual Health
We are seeking engaged temporary staff who are passionate about working in the field of sexual health to join SMSH.

SMSH is one of the largest sexual health clinics in Sweden with high patient traffic. Our team includes midwives, doctors, nurses, counselors, and assistant nurses. Stockholm Clinic for Sexual Health is a low-threshold clinic located at Sabbatsberg Hospital. Our target group is individuals aged 18 and above. We offer contraceptive counseling, examinations, sampling, and treatment of sexually transmitted infections (STIs), a PrEP clinic, as well as counseling, treatment, and dialogue regarding sexological problems and relationships. About the Position:
We are seeking a registered nurse or midwife (preferably with prescribing rights). Duties include sampling and treatment for STIs, contraceptive counseling, and vaccination against Hepatitis A and B. The role includes both scheduled appointments and drop-in visits.
About You:
Registered nurse or registered midwife.
Further education or experience in clinical work within sexology or sexual medicine is an asset.
You are expected to be comfortable discussing sex and sexuality and prepared for the fact that views on sexuality and what is considered normal/healthy vary between individuals. We wish for you to feel secure in your professional role. Anyone working at our clinic needs to be flexible, solution-oriented, and accustomed to taking personal responsibility in their work.

Employment Type:
Intermittent employment (Hourly contract). Start date according to agreement.
Additional Information:
To prevent the spread of MRSA, Stockholm County Council (SLSO) requires a health certificate prior to employment and regulates the possibility for healthcare staff to wear piercings.

For patient-facing work within Stockholm County Council:
- A background check is applied prior to the employment decision according to SLSO's overarching instructions for background checks at employment.
- Employees who will have patient contact must undergo a pre-employment medical examination according to current directives, conducted through occupational health services before employment.
- In addition to a Swedish professional license, good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is required. The same requirement is indicative for non-licensed personnel with patient contact.
